Reality TV

I don't feel like I watch a ton of TV, but I really love reality TV. There are a few shows I watch regularly, and I have a few thoughts:

First, The Bachelor. I haven't always watched this show faithfully and would just catch it here and there, but the girls at work have started a competition where you try to pick the winner early on, with the prize being lunch. Last year my girl was out first (but to my defense, I hadn't watched a single episode and just picked the girl from her bio, because she was a nurse :) ), but I'm proud to say that this year I won! The final episode hasn't aired yet, but one of the girls I picked is in the final two, and no one else has a girl left. It's funny, though, because the two other girls at work seemed to pick the good girls, and my girl that's left in is kind of trashy. Does that say something about me? I really didn't pick her because I thought she was a bad girl or anything.... Oh well, stay tuned to see if my girl goes all the way! (If you watch it, I picked Chelsea.)

Second, American Idol. I just have to say that Paula really is a train wreck. I used to like it because she was always the nice one to all the contestants, but now I don't really like her role on the show because if she ever disses a singer, it's really bad, but if she's complimentary it doesn't mean anything. But tonight was the train wreckiest of all moments! They asked the judges their opinions after the singers had done their first songs (all the contestants sang two songs tonight), so she starts commenting on the first singer and talks about his first and second song. He had only done one song! What was she talking about?! Really, it's ridiculous and embarassing. Poor Simon and Randy have to be on their toes to keep her somewhat together. Wow. That's all I have to say. Wow.

Lastly, The Hills. Love that show, but with my limited time I'm now three hours behind on the episodes! You can watch them on MTV.com, and the shows air at 11pm here so I never watch them when they first come on. But I've missed three weeks now so have tons of catching up to do! Maybe this weekend - I've promised myself I won't pick up any shifts at CFC this week, which reminds me that I have to return a call to my boss. She wants to know if I can work at all because they still have Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night shifts available. Plus all day Saturday. I don't really know what I'll say - I'm thinking about being honest and just saying I'm tired! Anyways, this show totally makes me want to go to Cali, and we're headed there in June! I'm excited. We're going to Disneyland with some friends, and I've never been (only to Disneyworld). Plus we'll get to go to the beach and do some touristy stuff, so it should be fun.

And does basketball count as reality TV? I sure think so. So the NBA play-offs are going on right now (so much to watch, so little time!), and the Jazz are on their way. I think they'll put away the first series tonight, but then they'll head to the Lakers and I think we're in for some trouble. Oh well. Go Jazz!

Paula really was having a rough time of it last night! I was wondering about her too. Sheesh!

Hey! I don't like Chelsea! I think she is super trashy, but I don't want him to end up with Shayne either. I think she will look just like her mom when she gets older, and that is a big yikes! I really wanted Amanda to win. Oh well, those "proposals" never last anyway.

The hills... I love that show too. Tyson and I are moving down there in a couple of weeks. We are super excited.
