- A ceiling fan in the master bedroom
- A true master bedroom/bathroom
- Drawers in the bathrooms
- Tons of outlets
- Light fixtures in the front room and entryway
And the not-so-small (or necessary) things that I'm excited about:
- A garden tub in the master bath
- Shower curtain rods that curve out, giving you more room in the shower. Such a good idea!
- 2 sinks in the master bath
- Granite countertops
- Third floor, with a view of the Strip!
- A loft
- A huge walk-on closet in the master bath
- Living within about 5 minutes of: our church building, Target, Walmart, 24-Hour Fitness, grocery stores, Chase Bank, Trader Joe's, Yogurtland, Grimaldi's, etc. Love it!
And there's always got to be some negatives, right?
- We are right in line with the runway for the Henderson Exec Airport, meaning the planes fly right over us as they make their final approach. Toby is still getting used to this... Luckily the planes don't fly at night, so it's really not a big deal.
- Climbing stairs to the third floor! Who needs the gym when you get a Stair Master workout every day?
- No pantry in the kitchen, but at least there are more cabinets than our last place.
- No built-in light fixture in the second bedroom, but easily fixable with a lamp. And at least there's a ceiling fan!
I will post pictures to our main blog once the place is more decorated. It might take awhile, though, as I have some grand ideas for re-decorating. So if you really want to see the place, come visit! We have a little more space now, and I'm hoping to eventually get a bed in the second bedroom so that we can have a true guest room. Again, we'll see how long that takes. :) But for now we have an air mattress, and a really comfy couch!
