So Long - But Not Gone!

Wow, I haven't posted on here in awhile, but I'm still here! I have my main blog, so I reserve this blog for more "personal," or at least more boring (and reflective) blogs. Guess I haven't had much of that lately! But I guess the other thing I discuss in this blog is infertility (at least to the degree that I'm okay having it be public). Believe me, you don't want to read all my hardcore rantings and ravings! :) But I'm kind of excited because we have a consult with a new doctor next week. It's funny how I used to think that other people with infertility take soooooo long to get things done - I was like, you're young and better get moving since this is your most fertile time anyway! And now look at me. I feel like we've been doing this infertility thing for FOREVER, and I've even heard comments like, "But it's not like you guys are going to the doctor and stuff, so I figured it wasn't that big a deal." Hmmm. I guess from the outside it's easy to make assumptions/judgements - I did it too. But it just takes a long time to get things figured out (that is, if you ever do...), and it also takes time and money. Wish I had an infinite resource of both of those! But anyways, we've been waiting to take a next step since my last surgery could have helped things - apparently it hasn't so far. :) So we're going to this doc that I worked with in nursing school. When I did my clinical rotation at his office, I actually got to shadow him, not just the nurses! That's impressive for a doc, believe me. He even let me do pap smears - I know you think that's so cool and wish you could have worked with him too! :) Anyways, he's a really nice guy and his clinic does OB/GYN stuff plus infertility stuff. So we'll go to a consult with him next week and go from there. Sometimes it's nice just to feel like you're doing something - too bad those somethings always cost money! Anyways, I'll be sure t0 keep you posted (get it - posted!)? Again, at least to the degree that I'm comfortable putting the info out in the public domain... :)
