A few things had me thinking this recently, like...
1) The fact that Jack has never ever had blood drawn for labs. Not before his mission, not back when he donated plasma all the time, never has a kid... I didn't know this was possible! I had labs done for the first time back when I was 11. I did have appendicitis, so there was good reason to draw labs, but I didn't realize Jack's never had it done. We found this out because he has to get a physical and they will do labs, which I think is great because everyone should have labs checked! Yeah, he hasn't had a normal physical in forever. I've never pushed it - I know, I know...I'm a nurse and should be advocating for yearly checks, but I figure Jack's pretty healthy and men will be men. The other funny thing is that I was telling Jack about a patient at work who was giving me all this attitue and refusing to have her blood drawn. Well, instead of siding with me his comment was that he can't blame her! He's a little nervous (or a lot nervous) about the whole blood draw thing. :)
2) Our laptop broke, again. Yeah, it's been a whopping 3-4 weeks since it was last repaired.
3) On top of that, HP is saying that the repair isn't covered under our warranty. Really? Because I'll argue this until the cows come home. Jack says what his mom would do is stay on the phone until they give her what she wants, for hours if that's what it takes. So I think I'm going to take a page from Kathleen's book and try this technique. I guess I better block out my whole Monday night and Tuesday night, since that's when they're supposed to be calling. I'm ready with all my complaints written down, people's names, dates, etc. Really, if I were HP, I'd just give me a brand new computer (which really is my request, and isn't that crazy of a request I guarantee you) rather than face the fury. I do plan to be nice, but you can have a nice fury. I can very kindly tell them that I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and telling everyone I know to never buy an HP. Oops, just did that last one! Can you tell I'm a little frustrated? :) Wish me luck!
4) Two out of three of Jack's students cancelled for the entire week this last week! I guess I jinxed us when I told everyone that Jack's back to 40 hours/week. Really, how flaky can students be? I mean REALLY???
5) Now that I'm back to using the old Dell desktop, I'm noticing that changing our pop-up settings hasn't worked out so great. It blocks the pop-ups that I want but then doesn't block the pop-ups I don't want. Go figure.
6) Oh yeah, and my fillings that I had put in a few weeks ago are still hurting. It hurts to eat hard things like chips, and they're super sensitive to hot and cold foods. I don't think that's normal. So I'm assuming that the dentist will take care of it since it seems like their mistake, but I really am not looking forward to having my teeth worked on again. I'm thinking it's really hard nowadays for people to fix things right the first time. :)
So now it's time to go take a hike up at Aspen Grove/Stewart Falls area for some nice rejuvenation of the soul! Thank goodness for the beauty of Utah!

Wow! Sounds like you need a hug! Or maybe a hot fudge sundae. Or both! I'm sorry about all that stuff. Here's hoping next week is way better!
Katie,
My white fillings hurt the same way for about a month or two after. My Dentist said it was normal...they FINALLY got better!

You could call the Better Business Bureau now and get a case number - that might save you a phone call back! I just spent 40 minutes on the phone with Microsoft to get an active product key to reload our Microsoft Office. Wow.
Also, Chris had fillings that hurt for quite awhile - sometimes it's normal and I don't know that they can do much about it. I'd try using Sensodyne for awhile. Good luck! (His finally stopped hurting after a few weeks.)
Katie, Chris has never had his blood drawn either, and hasn't been to the doctor since his checkups before his mission. I think he will freak out the first time he gets really sick or needs to go to the hospital.
Yeah, I'm totally anti-dentite! (Ever seen that Senfeld?) Anyway, hopefully since this post is like six weeks old (yeah, I don't check blogs much) things are better now!
