(or in other words, ideas for FB status updates that I didn't want to actually put on FB):
1) At my new gym, there is a huge glass wall looking straight in/out from the group exercise room. Meaning that when I'm doing kickboxing, yoga, etc. all the guys lifting weights can see in, and I can also see out. And the Henderson Fire Dept. goes to my gym. So I just have to say that when there are a bunch of firemen lifting weights right outside the exercise room, it makes you want to work a little harder and look a little better. That's all I'm sayin'.
2) What is it about pumpkins, pumpkin pie candles, candy corn, and cooler weather that just make you happier? It's almost like endorphins or seretonin floating in the air. I love fall. It's almost the most wonderful time of the year. Second only to Christmas.
3) I took the plunge and finally got a Cricut cutting machine (the Expression). Do I really scrapbook enough to make it worth it? I don't know. But the fact that it was $150 off really helped. And the more expensive model is $500. I know I don't scrapbook that much. And some nice lady at the store told me how she bought the more expensive model (the Imagine that cuts and prints) and that she ended up returning it. She said she loves her Expression and that it's totally worth the purchase. Thanks, nice lady, for validating my purchase and helping me figure out what cutting mats to buy!
4) Best friends are the best ever. Best.
And on that note, I really wish I lived in the same town as my best friends from home. And I've decided it's time for another girl's weekend. Like right away. Like now. Like "let's start planning one" kind of now. And I don't even care where. You can come to me, I can go to you. Whatevs. But it's overdue.
5) What is it with girls that go to the gym all dolled up and work out with their hair down? I can understand the make-up thing. You don't want to look really rough, okay. But leaving your hair down? And then complaining that you're really sweaty and holding your hair up off your neck? Maybe you should try a hairband. It was a great invention.
6) We have been getting so many thunderstorms lately! I like it, but not the fact that Jack sometimes has to fly in sketchy weather. I do like the fact that the storms have left us with cooler weather. Highs in the 60's and 70's for the next week or so. Nice!
7) Even though I have lots of time off from work (Thurs-Sun every week), the time always seems to slip by too fast! I've been wanting to read my new book (The Help) and do more scrapbooking, and it seems like I should have hours and hours and hours to do this. But somehow cleaning, cooking, working out, and grocery shopping eat away so much of the time. Oh well. I'm just glad that I'm not at work. :)
8) I love Zumba. At least some Zumba classes.
9) I really, really, really hope we end up making it to Utah for Thanksgiving this year. That's the plan, but we've still got to make sure our work schedules will accommodate it. We will probably only go Thurs-Sat, and I feel like all the days are going to be packed. Because the longer I'm away from Utah, the more stuff I miss and have to do when I go back! At least it's not far, and I can go there really any time I'm willing to make the 5 1/2 hour drive. But Jack hasn't been back since we moved, so it will be nice to go together. Some of the things we must do while there: spend Thanksgiving with family (of course!), see Erica's play, eat good Korean food and papusas and Zupa's and maybe Five Guys and Kneader's french toast (will we even be there for that many meals?), go to a Zumba class with Mom at my old gym, visit old friends, visit BYU/BYU Bookstore, shop at Tai Pan, and hopefully watch the BYU/Utah football game. Yeah, it's a long list.
10) I really need to go clean now. So I can then hopefully move on to some scrapbooking before it's time to make dinner and then go to stake conference. See, told you the time just slips away too easily!!

I love Fall too! I'm totally jealous about the Cricut machine, but keep telling myself that I don't have anywhere to store it so I don't need one. :) AMEN to the best friends comment! Good luck getting to Utah for Thanksgiving...I want to go somewhere...holidays just don't seem the same without family! Also, I agree that free time goes by all too quickly!
