2) The ants are still gone, but now we have little baby crickets. Maybe better than ants, but still gross! Uggh. My hypothesis is that since we're living in new construction, the bugs haven't figured out yet that humans have taken over the area and the bugs are no longer supposed to be here.
3) From talking to people at church, I've learned it could be worse. We could have scorpions inside our house! Now that would make me one unhappy camper!
4) I'm learning all kinds of things about Vegas. I found out that no one in the Las Vegas area drinks tap water. So it's not just ours that tastes disgusting. It's because the water is piped in from the lake, so basically we're drinking cleaned up lakewater. Cheers!
5) I also finally looked up the population of Las Vegas and found out that it is bigger than SLC by about 700,000 people. Las Vegas metro area: 1,865,746. SLC metro area: 1,130,293.
6) I just got a new calling as the Primary Chorister. Honestly, I'm a little intimidated to be the one up there leading singing time for 20 minutes! And the primary program is only a few months out. But it's been nice to get to know some other ladies in the ward, and now I won't have to sit in Sunday School by myself when Jack's working!
7) I miss Utah and almost everything about it. I think I really could be fine living there the rest of my life. Not that that would happen, but just sayin'. Some things I miss are: my family, my old job(s), the awesome and decently-priced Korean food, Five Guys, Zupa's, the hiking!, the cooler temperatures, the tap water, the Distribution Center, etc.
8) I'm trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. A nurse practitioner? A nursing professor? A different area of nursing, like Med/Surg or Pediatrics or Oncology or Surgery? Or do I just want to leave the whole nursing thing behind and get into tourism or retail or something else? Really, I'm not sure. I'm in some serious need of guidance.
9) Jack is one of the hardest working people I know. He is working 25 days out of the month of September. That may not sound like a lot, but we're talking 12 to 14-hour days sometimes, plus he's out in the heat. I miss him. And it also makes me feel lazy sometimes. But then I remember the time when I worked three jobs, and then I feel better. :)

Our tap water also tastes really nasty so we got a Pur water filter. We've used the ones you attach to your tap, but currently we have the filter pitcher that you put in the fridge. The one that you attach to your water faucet is more convenient, but the one in the fridge always gives you cold water (we don't have a water faucet that will let us attach the water filter to it, so that's why we got the pitcher).
