It's kind of nice to have a plan, at least for the next 6 months. Jack has started looking at jobs out of state, but he really thinks he wants to do Hawaii next, and for that job he still needs some more hours. Jack had been throwing out job possibilities like NYC, New Jersey, Atlanta, etc., so I wasn't sure how much longer we'd be here. So now we know we'll be here at least a little longer, which is fine. And that means I can actually plan stuff! And that even means we *might* (fingers crossed) get to finally take that trip to Europe! I would seriously love that. I'm hoping for the spring, but we'll see. Even though we're signing a 6-month lease, I'm sure we'll be here a few months after that, maybe until May or around there.
While I don't totally love my job, it's a job and it's a paycheck. :) And Jack is still working a 7 on/7 off schedule, which is now coordinated with my days off. So every other week we have 4 days off together, which makes traveling easier and leaves plenty of time for adventures. In the last few months we've been able to go see his family in Louisiana and my family in Utah, and here are our upcoming adventures to look forward to:
Jet skiing at Lake Mead
Weezer concert!
Trip to Arizona to see Ms Kathleen and Todd
Tuacahn show (hopefully "Grease") and hiking the Narrows
And here are some *possible* adventures:
Weekend trip to San Diego/southern California
Possible trip to Seattle? Or maybe a last-minute trip to Maui with friends?
Cabo in February with Dan and Alisa?
Europe in the spring.....I really, really, really hope so. I've already checked out travel books from the library for Paris, London, and Italy. I guess I'll just start planning and hope that it works out. :) The planning's the fun part anyway, right?
