After I got home from work today, I asked Jack where all the cranberry orange muffins were that I baked last night. So he tells me that he took them to work today. What!? My muffins? Okay, they were a mix, and they were good but it's not like it was something I baked from scratch. THEN, he tells me that he told everyone that he baked them! I gave him a hard time about this, and questioned and questioned him to find out that yes, he did indeed tell everyone at work he baked them. And then the following conversation ensued:
Jack: What's so bad about that?
Katie: It's a lie, that's who it's bad! And you're taking credit for my work.
Jack: But it was an honest lie.
Katie: Oh yeah? An honest lie? What's that?
Jack: I honestly knew that I was lying.
Katie: Oh, so that makes it okay?
Jack: It's better than a blatant lie.
Katie: But that's the same thing; you're purposely lying both ways.
Jack: Yeah, but doesn't a blatant lie sound so much worse?
Wow, he makes me laugh.
