You know how you have that list of things in your head that you'd like to accomplish before you die? Well, I got to check one off my list last night when I heard Tim McGraw and Faith Hill sing "It's Your Love" live. Okay, this might sound pretty trivial. I do have more important dreams that I hope come true one day (kids, a house....you know, the suburban lifestyle, not to mention developing into a really great, spritual, charitable person). But yes, hearing this song live was on my list, and it was great! I love this song, but I've listened to it over and over so a little of the magic has faded. But listening to it last night, I realized that it really is an awesome song - maybe my favorite.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill performed at the Energy Solutions Arena in SLC last night as a stop on their Soul2Soul Tour (yes "2," not "to"). They've toured together a couple of times before and I've always wanted to go. So this year I told Jack that we were definitely going, no matter what. He was a good sport and we headed to downtown SLC for the show. I wasn't up and dancing since I'm still not 100%, plus Jack's not really into that. :) But it was neat to watch two talented performers make some great music. I thought of my younger sis Christa (who is not so much of a country fan) when they opened with, get this, a Snow Patrol song. :) Not that Faith Hill and Tim McGraw don't have plenty of their own good music, as some of you might be thinking! Because they definitely had three hours worth. But yeah, they opened with a duet cover of "Chasing Cars," which was really good. And who'd have thought that after numerous occasions of belting out Faith Hill's "Cry" in my car, I would finally get the chance to sing that song along with Faith Hill, in real life! I have to say that they put on a really good show (cool lighting effects and old classics plus new music) - I'm glad I went and got to check one more thing off my list!

How cool, Tim & Faith.
Speaking of dreams come true, next month in Houston I am going backstage to meet...
KEITH URBAN!!!
Hey, that cover of Chasing Cars sounds really cool. Maybe I should broaden my musical horizons... Maybe. =) No, actually, Jeremy really likes country. That could be really trying. Or a growing experience. Either way, if I need good chick country, at least I know where to turn to. =)
