So everyone knows the old adage, but I'm here to tell you that it isn't true. :) My mom has commented to me before that there's probably never a dull moment being married to Jack. Well, I guess I took this for granted until I had surgery resulting in three scars, to yes, my abdomen.
The first few days of my recovery were filled with a lot of sleeping and lounging around, but by Friday I was walking to Smith's and by Saturday I got to go grocery shopping. Yes, "got" is the operative word in that sentence. When you're stuck inside the house for days, getting out for a little grocery shopping is great (even at Wal-Mart on a Saturday!).
Jack's been really busy getting ready for his next exam in flight school, but we got to hang out a little bit on Saturday and he would not stop making me laugh! He would do weird dances, talk crazy to the cat, crack jokes, etc. If you've met Jack, you know what I mean. Seriously, I told him he had to stop because it was hurting my stomach, so he said he would. And not more than two minutes later he was at it again - he really had forgotten that he had just promised to stop. So I found a way that I could posture my torso so it didn't hurt so much. I do realize laughter is a good thing, just not quite as good when you're trying to not pop a stitch!
