Today at church the Sunday School teacher was talking about how Lehi counseled his sons to be "men," and he talked about how the world's view of what a man is differs from Lehi's view. So then the teacher brings up this episode of Snoop Dog: Fatherhood that he saw, where Snoop was telling his son not to cry after being hit (demonstrating the world's view of being a man). Jack, having seen the same episode, decided he needed to point out that the kid who was crying had started the fight, and when he got hit once he started crying. So Jack said he was on Snoop's side on that one. Great - Jack likes to make some quite untraditional comments in Sunday School, which is a whole other topic for another day.
But Jack's comment got Jack and I talking about how Jack thinks he's such a Man's Man (MM). His reasons are that he's a helicopter pilot, he lifts weights, he likes the UFC, and he's a recovering chew addict. According to him, anyone who chews tobacco is a MM. So I decided to point out that he's got a few characteristics that make him so not a MM. To which he said, "You better not bring up that day that Toby and I were watching Rachel Ray: True Hollywood Story" (which really did happen, believe me). I think he pretty much solved that disagreement with one sentence.
Which reminds me of another funny disagreement Jack and I have - whether he's ghetto or country. If you're ever around us, bring it up for some good laughs!

I think Jack is a ghetto kind of boy myself. And if you want, you can tell him I said so. he-he.
