Funny, funny

Funny things over the past few days:

1) Jack accidentally called this guy at church "Bilbo," as in Bilbo Baggins. The guy's name sounds kind of like Bilbo, so Jack tends to refer to him as Bilbo when he's not around. But he didn't mean to actually call him Bilbo to his face!

2) I'm collecting toys for some kids at an orphanage in Mexico for an Enrichment service project, and we got lots of the toys today at church. Jack really wanted to open them and play with them - they were some toy dinosaurs and a batman figurine. Guess Christmas presents for Jack will be easy this year!

3) Last night I'm in our room watching the latest episode of "The Hills" on the laptop, and I hear Jack yell my name. I come out of the front room where he's watching TV, and he exclaims, "It's those Celtic women!" (Referring to the group Celtic Woman - one of the TV channels was broadcasting a Christmas performance they did.) Then Jack says, "I love these women."

4) The boots I wanted to wear to church were out in the car, so I got all ready for church but slipped on some clogs instead of my boots (so I could change shoes in the car). I was wearing a brown knee-length skirt, and some pretty high socks that were gray with snowflakes on them. I mentioned to Jack that my boots were in the car, but somehow he misunderstood because as we were walking out to the car he said,"Oh, you are going to wear that to church?" It was his way of being nice but also questioning my fashion - I told him to always feel free to question me if I look like that!
