Sweet Serendipity

Over the last few days I've been trying to iron out some details for our Hawaii trip next month. I like planning, but not necessarily the responsibility! What if we wreck our rental car? What if the hotel room is dirty? What if we miss a flight? What if the snorkel tour isn't as cool as the website made it sound? etc. etc.

But in doing some research today, I found out that our Waikiki hotel is in just the spot I wanted! I booked it because my boss got me a discount, and all I knew was that it was in Waikiki on the beach. But it turns out it's right by one of the popular boogie boarding spots (my favorite beach activity). Sweet! And it's also on the specific beach that I wanted it to be on - (I found the beach I wanted after I had booked the hotel - Kuhio beach where the famous surfer Duke statue is). Super sweet!

Things are coming together, and I'm getting excited. I try not to talk about our trip too much at the risk of sounding braggy, but I figure not too many people read this blog so hopefully I'm good. :) Oh, and I found out that boogie board rental isn't that expensive (you never know in a place like Waikiki), and I think I'm really going to take surfing lessons. Seriously a dream come true, ever since those days of watching the surfers at Gulf Shores. There's still lots of planning left to do, but I'm getting excited!
