Every night I get home from work, and as I'm checking my email there's often something from Travelocity or Travelzoo about cheap travel deals. This is then followed by me going to find Jack in the other room, just to let him know that we could travel to Ireland for just $600 each, or maybe go on a seven-night cruise of the southern Carribean for only $369 each, or maybe take a bed and breakfast trip through Italy, or maybe if we saved up "such and such" amount of money we could go to Europe sooner rather than later. And Jack just smiles, because he knows I love dreaming about traveling. And he also knows most of this is just talk.
I also made him promise me that each year (until we have a kid) we can go on one big trip. Maybe we can really make that happen....
I don't know what it is, but the travel bug has hit me in the past year or two. But another thing's that hit is the recession, so my timing's not so great. Oh well. At least there's time. Oh, and my latest addition to my list of places to travel to: Istanbul. Because all I need are more places I want to go. :)
