I am now licensed to practice as an RN in Nevada! That was very quick, if I do say so myself. :) Props to the Nevada Nursing Board! It's actually a temporary license, but just until they can get my background check processed (which can take months...). I started looking into this last week (I'd been out of town the week before, and really had been procrastinating just a bit.) But I looked into the guidelines last Monday, then on Tuesday I went and did all the fun stuff: fingerprinting, the bank to get a copy of my Utah license notarized, and the post office to mail everything off. Then by Friday my temporary license was issued. Nice!
I've actually already applied for one job, so that's why I was hoping my licensure would come through quickly. And I'm hoping to apply for a few more today. We'll see (the system is down, otherwise that's what I'd be doing right now). In some ways I don't want to go back to work, since not having to worry about anything but cleaning house, cooking, and scrapbooking has been kind of nice. :) But the paycheck won't hurt; in fact, I've already thought of tons of things to use the extra money for. That's never hard, is it? Finding ways to spend extra money. And I realize that this whole "housewife" thing is getting a little boring.
So I'm just hoping I can find a job that I like, so that way I'll actually be accomplishing something with my days but won't be dreading going to work...we'll see!
