Good old Harrison Ford, where are you?

So we went to see the new Indiana Jones movie, and yeah, I was pretty disappointed. I really wanted to like it since the last IJ movie was so good (yes, long ago as it was). But man, even though I tried I still couldn't respect the movie. It was entertaining, but some of the lines were so amazingly cheesy, I mean, "Daddy-O"??? And some of Harrison Ford's delivery was pretty poor. I like the guy, so I wanted him to do well in the movie, but there were parts that made me doubt if he really is a good actor.

But that night I was flipping through the channels and came across one of my all-time favorite movies: The Fugitive. And it reminded me that Harrison Ford really can act. So I have nothing left to conclude but that the directing wasn't so hot for this new IJ movie. Oh well. At least we have the good old classics like The Fugitive that are always good to watch. With lines like "Why don't you work me up a donut with some of those little sprinkles on top" and "We'll search every doghouse, outhouse, hen house in this entire area!" and "that guy just did a Peter Pan right off of here!" Good stuff. I need to watch that again sometime.

The Fugitive is definitely a classic! I love the lines you quoted. :) It's too bad that the new IJ movie isn't as great!

Yeah, I was really dissapointed. Steven Speildburg is not a very good director. However, E.T. was good. I just thought that he includes to much sci-fi. And your hearing this from me, the sci-fi freak. IJ should be about finding glorious treasure, not setting some hot russian woman on fire by pure knowlege!

Good thing The Fugitive isn't rated R :)

At first I was like, that's really random - of course it'snot rated R. Then I remembered - but who was it that we had that argument with? Ben Carrell? How funny.

I watched The Fugitive, and I love that line where Gerard says "That guy just did a Peter Pan right off this dam!" Yeah, good stuff, good stuff. Yeah, I don't think it R-rated stuff.

Did you notice all your favorite quotes were by Tommy Lee Jones? But Harrison Ford was good too. And did you notice the lady from Lost? :-)How do I kow all this? Lauren and I have watched it three times in the last week.
